What Drama

It was superb and thrilling entertainment but there was a price to pay for the last gasp 24-23 win. The broken leg suffered by Ben Morgan is a massive blow to a resurgent Gloucester pack and, of course, to England .

Gloucesters Ben Morgan is stretchered off during the Aviva Premiership match at Kingsholm Stadium, G

The good news is that he's had an operation on his lower left leg and should eventually make a full recovery.

Fellow stretcher case Nick Wood will be back much sooner after an examination of his damaged neck showed nothing too serious and he's recovering at home.

Both players played their part, along with the other 40 or so, in a tremendous advert for the game.

BT must be rubbing their hands with pleasure at the sudden  improvement in the quality of Premiership games and neither Gloucs nor Sarries let the side down.

With Laidlaw injured in the warm up we had the drama of Dan Robson starting the game, and desperate to Gloucesters Dan Robson scores their first try during the Aviva Premiership match at Kingsholm Stadiuprove a point after the annoucement that he is off to Wasps in pursuit of more first team rugby.

He scored the first try and what a superb sniping break down the blind side it was - finished off with an athletic dive to ground the ball.

It was even steven until that last dramatic minute.

With time running out who would have bet on James Hook slotting the penalty from inside his own half on a blustery night when his kicking game hadn't been at his best?

At that range most of us were wondering why Twelvetrees wasn't stepping up but hats off to Hook - he flippin nailed it!
