Moriarty First Try

By Cherry Picker
March 2 2015

After the opening exchanges at the Ricoh our chances of qualifying for the Champions Cup looked distinctly promising ... then it all went worng.

The boot of James Hook and a try for Ross Moriarty put us in to a 10-0 lead and we should have used that platform to take the sting out of Wasps.

Instead, we made basic tackling mistakes which let them back into the game with tries from Thomas Young, Rob Miller and Elliot Daly before half time.

In the second half Wasps earned a try bonus point and the 31-21 win puts them 13 points clear and favourites for that top six place. Henry Purdy crossed for what was very much a  consolation try.

David Humphreys says he has rarely known such disappointment in a dressing room. It is a fact that all of Wasps tries came from Gloucester errors.
