Last Gasp Winner

This could not have been better. The Glaws team which lost so many games in the final stages last season finally got their own back against the reigning champs.

Exeter's Nic White passes from the ruck during the Aviva Premiership match at the Kingsholm Stadium,

It was a game which had everything. We didn't get in their half until after about 20 minutes and there were glum faces all around as we were lucky to be only trailing by 7 points.

But new coach Johan seems to have what his predecessors lacked - a bit of a lucky streak. Lats season 50-50 decisions went against us but this time the ref and the video official gave us the benefit of any doubt with Jeremy Thursh stealing a couple of tries through sheer opportunism. Only a handful of folk saw his hand stretch out from a melee on the linene and touch the ball down. How had the hand got there?. Fairly said those who matter.

Gloucester's Ben Morgan scores a try during the Aviva Premiership match at the Kingsholm Stadium, GlBen Morgan's try had been more clear cut.

So it came to 21-21 as the 80 minutes were up and the crowd baying for Billy to slot a drop goal.

Nope. He attacked up the right with some vigour, as he had donee since he'd come on as a replacement. Cue the dramatic last winner from debutant Jason Woodward and Bill slotted the extras.

Kingsholm went wild. Suddenly the season is looking mouthwatering.
