Bilbao Bound

By New Cherry
April 23 2018

What a nightmare! Agfter the euphoria of a "routine" home win against a strangely subdued Falcons the Cherry and White faithful now face the prospect of trying to get to Bilbao for the Challenge Cup Final on May 11th ..

It'll be the  same for our opponents and old European rivals Cardiff with thousands of us all trying to get to Northern Spain at the same time. At least we won't be hampered by the fans from Championship finalists Racing who will be driving down from France or from Leinster, for that mater.

Flights do go from Manchester, Bristol, Stansted, Gatwick and Heathrow but are pricey and accommodation when you get there will be tricky to find. Why not find a mate with a boat and sail there and sleep on board?

Tickets can be bought here but you have to  be a bona fide Gloucester club member.

Glaws v Falcons 550

It will be our third European Challenge Cup final in four seasons after that 33-12 win. Tries from Tom Marshall and  Motu Matu'u (pictured)  followed a Lawson  try for Falcons .

In the second half Billy Burns got our third try early in the second half with Ben Vellacott going over late on after Lawson had scored his second.

Billy Twelvetrees kicked three penalties and two cons.
