Wales
The big news is that Gloucester lock, Will James, has beaten Rob Sidoli to the final lock birth. The one cap man has now ousted two of Wales' 2005 Grand Slam team, Brent Cockbaine controversially not included in Jenkins' extended squad weeks ago.
Sidoli will return to the Cardiff Blues now, but on stand by call should one of the chosen need replacing.
Elsewhere, Ian Evans, Steven Jones and Sonny Parker make the squad, despite being injured. It's a dubious decision to include the trio, having omitted Gavin Henson spectacularly last week for being unfit. He has since come out and said he will be fit for the Ospreys first match of the season against the Cardiff Blues.
There are also exits for 50/50 players, Lee Bryne and Iestyn Thomas, with Dafydd James and Adam Jones getting the nods respectively.
Others players who missed out were Tom James, Rhys Thomas, Aled Brew, Gavin Thomas and Gavin Evans.
Meanwhile, Gareth Thomas has been selected as Captain, contrary to Jenkins' original choice, Stephen Jones. Thomas will head a captains committee, as such, that will include Alun-Wyn Jones, Michael Owen, Jon Thomas, Dwaine Peel and Jones himself.
Jenkins said of his decision;
"Gareth Thomas has the captaincy credentials to take us where we need to go and his influence on and off the pitch is there for all to see. Stephen's injury means he is not going to have the opportunity to influence the build-up to the World Cup in the manner we wished. But Gareth is fully fit and raring to go and we are lucky to have someone of his calibre to call upon."
Remarkably, it's Thomas' 4th World Cup. He now Captains Wales in their warm up match against Argentina, gaining his 96th test cap. That match takes place on the 18th, and features a much stronger side than the one that lost heavily to England last weekend.
They then face France on the 26th August, before their World Cup Opener on the 9th September against Canada.
As for the side that faces the Pumas, Thomas is one of just 3 player who started against England to retain a place in the first XV, Tom Shanklin and Dafydd James the only others.
Ian Evans will make his first appearance since December, while his Ospreys' team mates Adam and Duncan Jones start at prop alongside Scarlets hooker Matthew Rees.
The match, which takes place at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, will be a chance for Jenkins and his squad to right a few wrongs an answer the many critics following his disastrous record as Wales boss. With just 3 wins in 13 games, he now needs to build confidence and get some sort of winning mentality as they face two of the Worlds best in Argentina and France.
The team looks like this;
Kevin Morgan (Dragons): Dafydd James (Scarlets), Tom Shanklin (Blues), Gareth Thomas (Blues, captain), Mark Jones (Scarlets); James Hook (Ospreys), Dwayne Peel (Scarlets); Duncan Jones (Ospreys), Matthew Rees (Scarlets), Adam Jones (Ospreys), Ian Gough (Ospreys), Ian Evans (Ospreys), Jonathan Thomas (Ospreys), Martyn Williams (Blues), Alix Popham (Scarlets).
T Rhys Thomas (Blues), Gethin Jenkins (Blues), Alun-Wyn Jones (Ospreys), Colin Charvis (Dragons), Mike Phillips (Ospreys), Ceri Sweeney (Dragons), Jamie Robinson (Blues).
