Rugby World Cup 2007
England v South Africa Pool A Match Review
14th September 2007 - 21:00(Local Time), Stade de France, Saint Denis
It has been coming for the last four years a big defeat, a humiliation of England the World Champions by none other than the Springbok ( I bet the Australians wished it was them who had put a whitewash over England) but it wasn't it was the mighty South Africans.
Heads will no doubt roll and the England fans will cry into their beer and prawn sandwiches but that performance was not worthy of defending world champions. Well done South Africa for exposing such a motley crew.
South Africa were superior throughout the game, humiliating England to a first blank scoreline in their world cup history.
Jason Robinson was one of the few bright sparks for England, catching a series of high balls and providing most of his side's scant penetration. But it wasn't enough to counter the talent and nous of the Springboks, and just 57 minutes had passed when Robinson left the field, injured and bloodied by his efforts.

Behind 20-0 at the break the game was all over bar the shouting.
Once again Percy Montgomery showed his class and put England to the sword slotting over the points when England's discipline fell, penalty points gathering momentum along with the Springbok.
England lacked ideas and kept kicking the ball away when they had it straight down the middle, I ask you what is that all about? They did nothing with the ball showed no flair and are looking to be going home rather quickish.

They have Samoa next game up and Samoa must be licking their lips at the prospect of this next game.
The South Africans however, look strong and definite contenders for the title.
Final Score England 0 v South Africa 36
