The Celtic Crusaders started life in 2006 in National League Two and have enjoyed a rapid rise through the Rugby League pyramid. After winning promotion at the second attempt, Cru would enjoy a superb first season in the First Division ultimately finishing second to Salford City Reds and being awarded a Super League franchise.
