SW Scorpions announce 23-man squad

The South Wales Scorpions have announced an initial 23-man squad following Friday's trial match. The club have promised that more players will be added to the roster before the season opener against Workington Town on February 28th.
An impressive turnout of supporters watched a host of Scorpion hopefuls in action on Friday in a trial match at Porthcawl RFC.

The club have since confirmed an initial 23-man squad - though more additions will be announced before the season gets underway at home to Workington.

Some of the players will get another chance to impress on February 21st when the Scorpions entertain a Wigan Warriors XIII in a friendly encounter at the Gnoll.

The initial squad is as follows:
Craig Richards, Lee Williams, Stephen Ireland, Ashley Bateman, Loz Wildbore, Gil Dudson, Shaun Owens, Barrie Phillips, Christiaan Roets, Sam Studley, Joe Burke, Neil Dallimore, Phil Cushion, Andrew Gay, Steve Parry, Lewis Reece, Alan Pope, Jamie Tibbs, Loren Quick, Dalton Grant, Garrick Legge, Harri Greville, Paul Boden.
