Vodacom Park - Bloemfontein

The Free State Stadium, also known as Vodacom Park Stadium, the stadium is located within a sports complex comprising of football (soccer), rugby union, cricket, hockey, athletics fields
Once again this is another stadium that will be hosting some of the 2010 FIFA World Cup games. In advance of the 2010 World Cup, a second tier has been added to the main grandstand on the western side of the ground, increasing the net capacity beyond the 40,000. Additionally, new turnstiles are erected, the floodlights have been upgraded, electronic scoreboards installed and the sound system revamped to the required standards.
The primary rugby union tenants of the facility are:
* The Free State Cheetahs, which participate in South Africa's domestic competition, the Currie Cup
* The Central Cheetahs, which from 2006 will represent Free State and Northern Cape Provinces in the Super 14

Transport
By air: Bloemfontein has daily flights to Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth and East London (Information Tel 051 433 2901).
By train: The railway station is on the corner of Maitland and Harvey streets. There are daily trains to Cape Town (20 hrs), Johannesburg/Pretoria (6.5 hrs) and East London (12.5 hrs) and a weekly train to Durban (16 hrs). (Central Reservations Tel 086 000 8888)
By bus: Buses arrive/depart from the Transit Centre at the Bloemfontein Tourist Information Centre. Translux (051 408 4888), Greyhound
(051 447 1558) and Intercape (0861 287 287) buses run daily to Cape Town (12 hrs), Johannesburg and Pretoria (6.5 hrs), Durban (8 hrs), East London (7 hrs) and Port Elizabeth (9hrs).
