The Academy at Newcastle is a good place to be for someone who plays fly half as well as full back. Already a feature of the Falcons "A" team, Toby gets in plenty of experience playing for a number of local clubs, and has already played at Twickenham for Northumberland.
He is by no means new to the game having played for school and club teams from an early age, and having played rugby since the age of six. He has featured regularly in local rugby reports playing for his adopted home town of Morpeth, and more recently for Darlington Mowden Park.
As a sixth-former at King's School, Tynemouth, he was the first from the school to be selected for the England Schools Under 18 squad. Toby has also played cricket for Northumberland.
Toby made his full England debut against Argentina at Twickenham on 11 November 2006, coming on as a second half substitute for Charlie Hodgson.
