The Newcastle Falcons Supporters Club is open to all rugby enthusiasts, but particularly those who wish to support the Newcastle Falcons.
While most live in the North East we also have members in Ireland, South Africa and even Crete. They range in age from babes in arms to senior citizens - and this is by no means an exclusively male preserve. Indeed we are very much family focussed.
Member of the Supporters Club can enjoy the following.
Regular Newsletters.
Regular social events, including Talk Ins with players and staff.
Reduced-rate travel to away games on the Supporters Club coach.
10% off meals purchased in the Kingston Park clubhouse bar.
Membership costs £10 a year for adults and £5 for those under 16 - or two adults can join for £15.
Newsletter
With the support of our partner The Design Group, a regular newsletter giving up-to-date news and information on events is sent out to all members. The newsletter contains match and event reports, information on away travel and interviews with players.
Social Events
The Supporters Club organizes regular social events for Members. These range from Talk-Ins (with players, coaches, referees and even the Director of Rugby himself!), to which admission is free to members, to popular Christmas and Burns Night dinners.
Many of these events are held at Kingston Park, and several events will see guest appearances by the players.
Full details of forthcoming events are to be found on our web site
Away Travel Arrangements
An important role of the Supporters Club is to assist those supporters who wish to travel to away fixtures and support the Falcons.
Normally this involves coach travel, with coaches departing from Kingston Park on the morning of a match and returning after the match. Whilst most people join at Kingston Park, we also arrange pick-ups at various points along the route, by prior arrangement. The precise arrangements will vary for each trip and will be publicized on the Supporters Club web site and the Supporters Club Notice Board. There is also a facility on the web site to book on-line for away travel.
Coach trips are enjoyable occasions and a great way to meet other Falcons supporters.
With the success of the Falcons in qualifying for the Heineken Cup, the Supporters Club, in association with our partner Living With the Lions is planning trips to support the Falcons in Europe, building on past trips to Treviso, Montferrand and Ireland.
Discount
Supporters Club members are entitled to a 10% discount on meals purchased in the Newcastle Falcons Bar on non-match days.
Player of the Month / Year Awards.
All Members of the Supporters Club are eligible to vote for the Player of the Month and Player of the Year awards.
Each month all those Members who vote are entered into a draw - the lucky winner gets the opportunity to present the award to the winning player in the West Stand following a home match.
Sponsored Player
The Supporters Club sponsors a player each year, usually a young, emerging player.
This year’s sponsored player is Phil Dowson.
Liaison with the Club
The Supporters Club has monthly meetings with representatives from Newcastle Falcons to encourage healthy relations between the two organisations.
