The Drunken Wasps Management Team are pleased to announce that, following discussions with all concerned, a Celebratory Curry to say goodbye in true DW style to Craig Dowd will be held on Monday 18th February 2008 at the Clay Oven Restaurant, The Mall, Ealing.

The Drunken Wasps Management Team are pleased to announce that, following discussions with all concerned, a Celebratory Curry to say goodbye in true DW style to Craig Dowd will be held on Monday 18th February 2008 at the Clay Oven Restaurant, The Mall, Ealing.

Note this is the restaurant in Ealing, not the function suite in Alperton. Just for all those people who find it difficult to get to the right place.

Craig and his wife Tanya will be along, and we have invited a few other guests, but the evening is mainly to have a comfortable beer, a good meal, and meet friends.

The menu for the evening is:

Chicken Tikka; Amritsari Fish; Vegetable Samosas; Vegetable spring rolls.

Butter Chicken; Lamb Rogan Josh; Aloo Gobi; Mushrooms and sweetcorn.

Pilau rice (plain rice available on request)

Naans and kulchas; Salad, yogurts etc.

(subject to final confirmation).

Starters will be served to table at 8pm promptly, and the main courses will be help-yourself buffet style as on previous occasions. If anyone has particular dietary requirements, please let me know and I will see what can be done.

Availability is limited to about 100, and first impressions are that this will be soon all allocated. Get your order in soon.

Seating will be unplanned except for the guests table, so get there early and put your jackets over the seats you want!

A small presentation of a suitable farewell gift will be made, but it isn’t a formal evening at all.

The cost of the evening is £25 for the meal; any drinks will need to be handled on a cash basis with the serving staff.

To order your places, please send an email to Kevin@drunkenwasps.com stating clearly the names of ALL MEMBERS OF YOUR PARTY (I’ve written this in big letters because a few people never bother) and successful applications will be sent an invoice which needs to be paid promptly. It will be first come, first served.

Any money in excess of the final restaurant bill will be used towards a charitable disbursement to be announced– the DWs never make any retained profit.

PLEASE NOTE: In the unlikely occurrence of one of the cancelled A Team fixtures being rescheduled for this date, the evening may have to be changed or postponed completely. In the event of a postponement, monies will be refunded to people who cannot make the new date. However, if Craig can’t fit in another evening before his departure, then monies will be refunded in full to everyone.
