Ever wondered who those folk are in the pink and green shirts at the London Irish matches are? Finally - here's the designs for the 2007 'Flatulent Fairy' rugby shirts and NEW for this year - the design for the 'Trumping Tinkerbelles' rugby shirt.
Fairy Shirts 2007

The Flatulent Fairies are a group of people, mostly London Irish supporters, who organise and attend various fun activities to raise funds for charities. They organise the infamous Fat Bloke Sevens each year and foolishly continue to enter a team, the Flatulent Fairies, despite never winning a trophy at their own event. The Fairies are registered with Berkshire RFU as the Exiles.

The Trumping Tinkerbelles are the first ever London Irish Ladies team and were launched upon the world last year and DID manage to win a trophy.

The shirts all have the London Irish logo on the sleeve. Both sets of shirts have the fairy logo, 'Plumptious', on the left breast with either the
Fairies or Tinkerbelles name and the year. Both sets of shirts also carry the popular and unique 'wings' embroidered on the back.

The Fairy shirts have a panel with 'FF' on the back whilst the Trumping Tinkerbelles have 'TT' on a diamond shaped panel. If you've heard the ladies
singing 'Diamonds' (black velvet band - their anthem) you'll appreciate the design feature.

We've, apart from the above features, gone with the original shirt design, by 'Dave', as it proves to be the one which most people ask about and appears to be very popular so 'Emerald and Rose' hoops it is. That's Pink and Green to some of us.

Price stays the same as for the last three years at £50 of which at least £10 goes to the nominated charities for the year. Postage or £5 or collect at one of the infamous 'Shirt Faced Session' - usually held in early July in Reading and involving lots of ale, or at the Fat Bloke Sevens itself over the weekend of July 21st - 23rd.

You don't have to be a player to have a shirt, although all players do need them.
