The deal is this, we split the sponsorship into a number of shares and you can purchase those shares. Each one gives you an entry into the prize draw at the end of the season, the lucky winners get to attend the very enjoyable Player Sponsors' Evening at Sunbury where you get to meet most of the London Irish staff to chat to, you also get presented with the player's signed shirt (by the man himself).
"Our Boys", David and Gary in action.
For a number of years we've sponsored David Paice and last year we also took Gary Johnson on, both are up-coming young stars who've begun to show their full potential. Both also have families that are active in the London Irish community.
If you'd like to take part in this we have divided David into 30 shares worth £10 each, Gary has been split into 60 £5 shares. You can register your interest by emailing Griff stating:
You should receive a reply email acknowledging your request.
Once we have enough interest we split the shares up. Everyone who asks (including all the people in each group) will get one share. If there are any left once these have been allocated they are then as many people who asked for two shares get a second and we continue through the multiples until we've run out.
At this point you will receive an email telling you how many shares you were allocated and asking for payment - this is via BACS (bank transfer), cheque or, if you happen to be somewhere Griff will be, cash. There will be a cut-off date for payment. Anyone failing to pay by that date will have their shares re-offered to others.
Peppermint Patty & Gary
Previous shareholders have already been informed about the renewal so we already have a reasonable level of interest. If you'd like to join-in the please email as soon as you can. The offer will close if we recieve enough to cover the shares in single-allocations. Otherwise it'll close in mid-June so that we can start getting the cash in and pay the invoice.
The feedback we get from past sponsors is entirely positive. Sponsoring players (even just a share of one) gives you an extra connection with the team. Get in now and join the fun!
Cider in Rosie and Delon (sadly David had gone to Australia with a broken thumb)
