New London Irish Pub opens in Reading Town Centre

The Craic on Tap

The man pictured is Steve Rolls better known to us as Reading_Glasses, an LI man through and through. This foolhardy chap has taken up ownership of a pub in the centre of Reading, namely the Allied Arms in St. Mary's Butts.
New LI Pub Opens in Reading

As anyone who has worked in the pub business will tell you, he has his work cut out for him.

The pub is about 10 minutes staggering distance from the station, on the bus route to the Madstad, although there is some debate about how full the busses to the stadium are by the time they get there.

It goes without saying that Steve's hostelry serves Guinness. Also on tap is John Smiths, Wadworths 6X, London Pride, Courage Best, Stella Artois and Fosters. Steve has been an active member of the Fatboy Aid Phase II consortium over the past few months. He will be selling JC tee shirts from the bar.

This Sunday the 20th, if London Irish beat Edinburgh, the black stuff will be sold at £2 per pint.

We don't have a clubhouse but an LI pub in the centre of Reading is a good start!
