Twenty Questions to a Usual Suspect - OxonRob
By BrianC
September 14 2004
As if he hasn't been exposed enough already, today we feature OxonRob. One of the, deep down, nicest guys I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He can cause trouble though, I still worry about when I should use an apostrophe.

How long supporting LI?

1987

Best ever LI game (Excluding 2002 cup final)

Not an anorak, so cannot recall many specific games, but how about the second half of our last match of the season, against Bristol?

Favourite LI experiences off pitch (Excluding 2002 cup final)

The trip to Pau in January 2002, and the look on Ryan Strudwick’s face when he went to a line-out and spied the banner nominating him for Pope! (He hardly got off the deck for laughing!) The Henley Sevens BBQ 2002.

How did you start supporting LI?

Taken by a friend. Never looked back.

What are your non-rugby pastimes?

Golf, sailing, watching village green cricket, amateur dramatics (mainly light opera) choral singing, playing Euchre and doing community things about the village.

Any Irish connection?

None in my blood but plenty in my head!

Most likely to say?

I’m all the better for seeing you.

Least likely to say?

Please take me for an evening’s clubbing.

Tell us something about you we don't know.

Have written some Python sketches and Guinness ads (back in the early seventies) and got shot at in Rhodesia in 1976 while on a business trip. Had a book presented to the Queen in 1997, and once scored a try against LI when I played for LW!!! I am also a single parent, vaguely responsible for two gobsmackingly nice daughters. Orderly queue please.
