Movie(s) Got to be "The Vikings" for the music ... de DAAAHH dah, de DAAAAHHHHH dah .....
Otherwise, anything with a dinosaur or an asteroid in it.
WORST movie, like, EVER, "Death in Venice" ( plot: old poofter goes to Venice ... dies there.)
TV Programme(s) "Stargate"; I'm still practising that single raised eye-brow.
Book(s) All the Arthur Ransome books, "Swallows and Amazons" onwards. All Steinbeck; George Orwell, most science-fiction; all Land Rover manuals; all the "Sister Fidelma" books.
Music Spanish and classical guitar; Tarrega, Torroba, Sor ,Bach.
BUT, I’d pay HUGE money to witness a rap singer get electrocuted on stage.
Radio Station(s) Classic FM, R4 ( but I’d never heard of MC !)
Food(s) Mainly Irish cuisine for the healthy option; white pudding, full Ulster fry, Dublin Lawyer ...
Drinks(s) Old Arthur, of course, but any decent real ale will do
Place(s) to visit Loved: Texas, the Hebrides (especially Jura), Provence
Want to see: the Faeroe Islands.. the beer’s great, they say.
How long supporting LI? About forty years.
Best ever LI game (Excluding 2002 cup final) Has to be this year at Newcastle. All stitched up in the last two mins of injury time. I know loads of Falcons’ supporters and I lost track of the number of times someone said to me “You jammy Paddy batsards”.
Favourite LI experience off pitch (Excluding 2002 cup final) Greystones. Being a part of the first ever London Irish 100 Euro round ... probably EUROPE’s first 100 Euro round.
How did you start supporting LI? Amateur club, about, let’s see now .....
What are your non-rugby pastimes? Climbing, potholing, music, Land Rovers, long-bow archery, grub, “The Duke of Wellington” at Danby, reading, collecting old watches .....
Any Irish connection? Family from Cork City. I’m an Irish citizen (uPVC)
Most likely to say? (looking at watch) “Ah go on then, I will so”.
Least likely to say? "Your corporate decision to buy out and close that Czechoslovakian brewery was a move welcomed by ALL beer-drinkers since your American light beers produced by your large conglomerates are a delightful drinking experience."
Tell us something about you we don't know. 'cos of my jobs and where I live I only get to LI games up North or on tour; about six or eight a year...... I’ve never been to Reading in my whole life!
