One of our 2005 summer series is a supporters 'If you could', the series continues with one of our shyer posters - Blarney. Whatever you do, don't call him a dinosaur! Throughout the off season we plan to learn a little bit more about many of our 'Usual Suspects'

Relive any 'non-sports related' moment in your life, what would it be and why?

Standing on top of Rhynog Fawr (mountain in Wales) watching a sunset over cloud-filled valleys. Awe-inspiring.
Enjoy a 'champagne moment' again in your career which one would it be and why?

In my career as a student: getting fantastically pi**ed on my birthday with my mates, throwing up in the toilets, then ranting at anyone in ear shot. It’s what university’s all about.
Enjoy a 'champagne moment' again in sport which one would it be and why?

Geoff’s intercept try in the cup final. Sheer magic.
Not be asked one question for the rest of your life what would it be? What’s your name? Barney? What, like the dinosaur?
Be a celebrity for the day who would you be?

Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day singer/guitarist). Oh, for the life of a rock star.
Be a sports star for the day who would it be? Jonny Wilkinson
Have dinner with 4 people from the past or present who would they be? Bill Bailey, Sean Bean, Jason Bateman, Conor O’Shea
Witness one event from history what would it be?

The Battle of Agincourt. I’m into medieval history and battles.
Go back in time and give advice to a 13 year old Barney Glaze what would it be? Don’t be so shy, get out and meet more people.
Win any sporting event in the world what would it be?

Rugby World Cup
Try out a new sport what would it be? Sky Diving
Have one extravagance what would it be? A medieval castle in the middle of beautiful countryside.
Only ever eat one meal again what would it be? Steak and kidney pie, peas and chips.
Live anywhere else in the world where would it be? New Zealand. Rugby and gorgeous countryside!
Support any other Rugby Club which would it be and why? Worcester. They’ve won my heart this season with their sheer bloody-mindedness and never-say-die attitude. Nice stadium too.
Tell us a claim to fame what would it be?

Erm. Nothing really. I do feel that I should have got the VC for watching the Wales-England 6N match in a Welshy pub in Aberystwyth. Just about got out intact.
See into the future what do you expect to be doing in 10 years time?

Hopefully wife & kids and a well paid job that I enjoy. And being able to watch LI home games of course!

Diet Coke
Do any other job other than your current one what would it be?

Be a novelist
Change one thing about yourself what would it be?

Be fitter and more athletic
Buy one player from past or present to play in London Irish colours who would it be? Has to be BO’D. Will be up there with the giants of the game when he retires. Some might say he’s there already.
