'If you could...?' to Reading Glasses

One of our 2005 summer series is a supporters 'If you could', the series continues with Reading Glasses. If you're in the Allied make sure you ask how big his slate is? Throughout the off season we plan to learn a little bit more about many of our 'Usual Suspects'

Relive any 'non-sports related' moment in your life, what would it be and why?

Boring really….but it was the day I got married, if I could relive it again I would promise not to get so pissed…..honest!!!

Enjoy a 'champagne moment' again in your career which one would it be and why? This is easy….our first day at the Allied Arms. We started work at 5.30 AM that day and opened the pub at 11AM. At 11.01AM all my friends descended upon us complaining that the service was sooooo slow, you can imagine the confusion! After one of the longest and most tiring day of our lives we finally got the pub cleaned up and staggered upstairs to the flat to discover that the previous landlord had left us a Magnum of Champagne and a letter wishing us happiness in our new life at the pub. What a nice thing for him to do!
Enjoy a 'champagne moment' again in sport which one would it be and why?

Winston Churchill.

Have dinner with 4 people from the past or present who would they be? Winston Churchill, Henry VIII, Alexander and J.C.

The Battle of Hastings.

Go back in time and give advice to a 13 year old Steve Rolls what would it be? You can chuck that packet of ciggies away right now!
Win any sporting event in the world what would it be?

Rugby World Cup

Try out a new sport what would it be? Banger Racing.
Have one extravagance what would it be? My very own Carp lake, full of monster fish!
Only ever eat one meal again what would it be?

Fish and chips

Live anywhere else in the world where would it be? France.
Support any other Rugby Club which would it be and why? Bath – Because I want to see your responses

I once sang in a choir for the Queen Mother at Windsor and she referred to me as “The little scruffy one at the end with the voice of an angel”

See into the future what do you expect to be doing in 10 years time?

I shall be fishing in my own Carp lake somewhere in France.

Pimms Sauvage.

Do any other job other than your current one what would it be?

Historian…probably working in a museum somewhere.

Change one thing about yourself what would it be?

I would like the capability to fart louder than JoeV.

Buy one player from past or present to play in London Irish colours who would it be? Martin Johnson – One of the finest captains I have ever seen.
