With both sides desperate for victory and with four minutes remaining on the clock Harlequins were leading by 24 – 28.  The wounded Tiger is a dangerous animal, particularly at Welford Road and to have conceded four tries to Quins was an almost mortal wound.  Then with four minutes remaining on the countdown clock the ball reached Varndell, at the end of a couple of suspiciously forward looking passes.  More..
