It's quite short notice but hopefully a lot of you will be able to come along.

As with all Quinssa events they are open to everyone with Quinssa members getting in free.

Since this event is in association with the club club members will also get in free.

It should be free for "club" members not just for Quinssa members.

You just need to turn up - no need to regsiter. Please encourage others to come along. However, It would be nice to know we will be getting enought to justify a bar so an indication here would help.

I'm going!

Nice to see that those who can afford the £110 club membership get in free while those who can't pay £5. Good thinking there.

I know Quinssa's activities attract a lot of unfair criticism from people who have - at best - chips on shoulders and have no wish to get into that debate, but I'd have been entirely happy with Quinssa members free, other £5.

I would rather have hoped that Quinssa wouldn't (actively or otherwise) divide supporters according to their wealth. The club can't avoid it - they need to make money - a supporters' association should.

In the event that our many named poster writes something below agreeing and/or extending these points, I should perhaps point out that I am unlikely to approve of anything he suggests or the presentation of it, given past form.

Sam123
Not really sure I understand your point. The only people who have to pay a fiver are those who are not A) a member of QUINSSA or cool smiley a member of the club. I don't think that is dividing supporters according to their wealth.

Dear sam123

Quinssa members get in free to all Quinssa events. The club asked that club members also get in free as well to this event. The club wanted to run some members events and to have people like Dean, Mark and Collin turn out for two evenings dosen't really make sense so it is combined at their request.

Since Quinssa started we have had a complete open door in everything under our control and have never looked to divide on wealth or anything else. I hope our £5 membership fee and inclusiveness to all events is the best example of this.

We are delighted that the club continues to work with us and provide resources such as these.

Thanks

Simon

Membership of the club is very expensive - ergo having it as entry criteria is rather divisive for an event (as opposed to, say, a bar) where it is hardly necessary as presumably only a relatively small number of people go.

ST holders would perhaps have been more logical.

It is the concept of 'club members' events' that I disagree with -rather strongly. Obviously Quinssa can't really go against the club on this as it's getting free facilities/time of management etc but it's still wrong.

So for this event one could just join Quinssa for the year - but I get the impression future 'members' events will be exclusive to 'club' members. There's just something unfortunate that you can turn up to every game, go to away games, A league etc but because your ST costs £200ish not £400ish you are excluded from rugby related events. Rather different to not getting a special bar/parking/whatever. I think anyway.

Membership is entirely archaic in the professional era anyway.

This seems a wonderful opportunity for non-Members to join Quinssa for £5 and get in free to this event and others organised either by Quinssa or jointly with the Club.

With the break in the premiership and the end of the RWC it should be the perfect time to hear the views of Mark, Dean and Collin on the season to date and how they see it progresing.

All welcome.
