Early on the Quins were on top, driving forward with intent and so nearly crossing over first through Mike McGowan and then Will Wessels. The referee awarded the home side a penalty for off-side and James Loizos converted for a quick 3 - nil lead. From the kick off the Wasps were straight into the attack, quickly moving the ball wide. Soon the Wasps were ahead with simple passing giving an overlap to the left and a score in the corner.
Quins kicked off but immediately Wasps were up to the 22 yard line - a break in the centres allowed them up field and quickly the try line beckoned. Quins were back into the Wasps half from the kick off, and Loizos converted another penalty. A third try soon followed however, made by the Wasps pack's rolling mauls and finished out wide after quick passes through the centres.
At the start of the second half Quins defended resolutely for 15 minutes. There was no way through for the away side, and the Quins had hope. However eventually the Wasps backs had too much, and again broke through the centres and under the posts. The home side had not given up, and constant forward drives left Quins just 5 metres out and McGowan made it over the line for the try.
The final minutes saw Wasps back on the attack and a final try was scored under the posts. Harlequins fought hard in defence throughout the game, but the Wasps punished any mistakes and were deserving winners by 29 points to 13.
