Meet the Ref Evening - Wayne Barnes - Tuesday, 6th December
November 11 2011
We are delighted to confirm that back by very popular demand we have an evening with Wayne Barnes on Tuesday, 6th December in the Jesters Suite at The Twickenham Stoop.
For any of you who have not been to one of Wayne's evenings before we thoroughly recommend you come along for a very insightful and highly entertaining evening from one of the most respected referees in the game. Doors open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start. Free entry for Quinssa members, £3.00 for non-members (or they can join Quinssa on the night for just an extra £2.00)
All proceeds from the raffle that evening will be going to Wayne's chosen charity which is Get A-Head again this year for very personal reasons. Please take a minute to read the incredible story of one of Wayne's friends, a local Twickenham lady, here: http://www.end2end4acc.co.uk/?page_id=9, Get A-Head are an independent cancer charity whose mission is to raise money to help people and their families suffering from head and neck cancer and other diseases of the head and neck. Further details about this great charity can be found here: http://www.getahead.org.uk/
In order to give us an idea of numbers (and to make sure we set out enough chairs!) please let Emma know (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are intending to come along. Thank you .
As for put in to the scrums, WB has stated at previous evenings he's far too busy monitoring everything else to worry about that. Worth pestering him though, if he reports back that the fans are really concerned about this, it might get some attention.
Yeah, why didn't he yellow card Andy Goode up at Leicester in May 2008 when he CLEARLY shoulder-barged Danny Care off a try-scoring opportunity. And only a mere few weeks after he'd been at the Stoop pontificating about how he'd much rather pick up on things like that than technical infringements.
I know, I should let it go now that I've seen us win there, but it was highly infuriating to say the least.
