Every year there are various events that creep up on me out of nowhere – the boat race is one and London Floodlit sevens is another. So to save the rest of you I’m highlighting it this year. http://www.londonfloodlitsevens.com/ will tell you all you want to know - Rosslyn Park FC, SW15 5JH. TICKETS £15 on the gate, £5 for U16s. ADVANCE TICKETS ONLINE NOW FOR £11. GATES 4PM, KICK-OFF 5PM, FINAL 10.20PM
Why should you go? Well whisper it quietly but Harlequins are quite good at this fixture. We won it in 2011. Then again we won it in 2012 (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh_7_TpXZfk ). And in 2013 we won it. And in 2014, guess who the winning team was? So it would be nice to see a large body of support turn out for the 2015 game.
The painful part is, like in previous years, we get to kick off the first game at 17:00 against London Scottish

So come along for a great evening. Last year there was hog roast and there’s a good bar. Just stand where you like and cheer the teams on. Just check the weather forecast, it can be chilly by the time the final rolls up.
There is extremely limited parking at Rosslyn Park. Best to use public transport. Trains to Barnes are your best bet. Enjoy the evening!
Not taking anything for granted, but we have to beat Scottish, Richmond and Irish to make the final. Much tougher other side of the draw where it's Saracens, Wasps, The Army and whoever the Pups are for a place in the final!
The pups are a mixed side of very good regular sevens players who seem to just fancy a game, though they sometimes have some quite tasty players - I think Dan Norton turned out one year. I think they might have even made the final on one occasion. It's a good nights rugby whether Quins win or not.
