By Prof
July 17 2005
Following discussions with the local Police, the RFU has decided that due to plans being at such an advanced stage for the removal of Twickenham Stadium’s South Stand on Sunday July 10 at 1.00pm, including the temporary evacuation of near neighbours, the demolition will continue.
Further to the tragic events in London yesterday, the RFU has decided to cancel all arrangements for news media activity and access for the demolition of the South Stand at Twickenham.

Prior to the demolition of the South Stand, RFU President Elect, LeRoy Angel will deliver a eulogy to members of staff and local residents attending and call for a one minute’s silence. Flags at the stadium are positioned at half mast.
