The Richard Langhorn Survival Challenge
By Vena Arnold
July 22 2005
The RLT Survival Challenge is about to begin and CAW's very own Dizzybird is going to take part, details of how to sponsor her are at the bottom of this article.
Participants will be challenged and invigorated, learning to trust and rely upon each other, working together to come through this ultimate team building challenge

It is essential to work as a team to survive and strive to win this ultimate in challenges.

Learn from television’s best expedition leader and survival presenter
Ken Hames, presenter of ‘Greatest SAS Missions’, ‘Desert Darlings’ and ‘Jungle Janes’ and regular on ‘Big Brother’s Little Brother’ has agreed to lend his passion and expertise to leading your challenge.

Your challenge
Your challenge is to find a team who want to pitch their wit and cunning against our ex-SAS instructors and compete against other teams.

The SAS survival challenge is a carefully designed blend of physical and mental challenges, which have been put together by an elite group of instructors.  Your team will need to think outside the box, communicate clearly, devise clever strategies and work together expertly as a team.

Investing in the Community
Your team will be facilitated by ex-SAS instructors who are experts at getting the best from people and transforming teams.

In addition to this, the money your team raises will help may disabled and disadvantaged children participate in sport.

There is no better way for your company to fulfill some of its corporate and social responsibilities.

The Richard Langhorn Trust is happy to announce that it will become the official charity of FARSCAPE DEVELOPMENT for the forthcoming year

As a result, they have kindly agreed to become official sponsors of the RLT Survival Challenge weekend in October and provide our facilities and experts at cost price!

What does this mean to you?
It means competitors do not need to raise as much money to enter the challenge. A minimum pledge of just £700 (which includes your registration fee) will be asked of you.

What you need to do to take part in the challenge?
Please send us your application form with a deposit of just £100 by the 8th July to confirm your place in the challenge

We will immediately send you your sponsorship forms and be available to liaise with you on fundraising ideas.

On the 10th of September we will require payment of £250, which is needed to cover all the costs associated with the challenge.

We anticipate that by this date you would have raised enough sponsorship money to be able to cover this cost.

7th – 9th October – Survival Challenge weekend

On the 7th of November we ask that all sponsorship money is given to the RLT so we can confirm which individual and which team has raised the most amount of money for the Trust.

Winners will receive confirmation and their prizes immediately after this date

All you need to do is email polly@rltrust.org  for an application pack.

If you can't take place but you'd like to sponsor Dizzybird just follow this link.
