Harlequin Ladies Are 10 Years Old
By Kate Sinfield
May 16 2006
Harlequin Ladies are celebrating their 10th season by holding an anniversary ball at the Twickenham Stoop on the evening of Saturday 3rd June 2006 writes Kate Sinfield.
The evening will include a drinks reception, three course dinner, Steve Lander as the after dinner speaker, a question and answer session with former NEC Harlequins players, as well as a disco and the opportunity to look back through the Harlequin Ladies archives with current players and some of the Harlequin Old Girls. Tickets cost £40 each or £400 for a table of 10.

Harlequin Ladies Football Club was established in September 1995 when a couple of Quins fans moved into the area and wanted to set up a Ladies team. The idea soon grew into a team that was to win their first league unbeaten and become a force to be reckoned with in Women’s Rugby.

Since then, the Harlequin Ladies have gone from strength to strength, with 57 past and present players gaining representative honours from County through to England International; establishing a highly successful youth side, forming strong links with the main club and the local community and developing an enviable social calendar.
