England Rugby July in Review! Well it was a fairly quite month, many on holiday and the silly season in full swing. However, we had some good news with a new attacking coach announced, our U18s Winning Well in Argentina and Martin Johnson inviting us all to go and watch England Train at Twickenham

England Rugby July in Review!   Well it was a fairly quite month, many on holiday and the silly season in full swing.  However, we had some good news with a new attacking coach announced, our U18s Winning Well in Argentina and Martin Johnson inviting us all to go and watch England Train at Twickenham for FREE in August.  Plus the Nomad Ladies were celebrating Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday and Sussex RFU's 125th Anniversary Celebration year.  As well as the Heroes standing up and being counted.

 

 

England's Brian Smith believes expansive rugby will give England the winning edge. Speaking on the  rfu.com podcast, the new England attack coach outlined his intentions, insisting, “I want us to threaten the defensive line from every position".

England Under 18s concluded their development tour of Argentina in style on Sunday evening with an impressive 48-20 defeat of Argentina. 
The latest win for the England young guns handed the Under 18s side a clean sweep of wins this season which also included a Grand Slam in the Six Nations Festival as well as victories over Tucuman, Buenos Aires, Mendoza and Uruguay. full report here.


England Under 18s Coach John Fletcher said: I'm delighted with the performance and the result on Sunday. To score eight tries in a test match speaks volumes for the quality of this squad.

Martin ‘Chariots’ Offiah will roll into Twickenham on September 20 as he puts his 500 try-scoring wheels back into action for the Help for Heroes campaign. The 41-year-old rugby league legend nicknamed after the film ‘Chariots of Fire’ will line up alongside Martin Johnson, Will Greenwood, Dan Luger, Mark Regan and captain Lawrence Dallaglio to take on an International XV  More here....

 

 

 

 

Nomads Celebrate Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday The England based Nomads have been invited today by the SARU to play the warm up games against South Africa National Women's XV, before the Springbok test match at Ellis Park against Argentina's Pumas on 9th August, as part of the celebrations for Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday  more here...
