Evening everybody,
I think that was the wettest I have ever been - why didn't I make that
trip to Blacks to waterproof my jacket before yesterday? I had four
layers on and the damp got through all of them. Yesterday I was shooting
with the short lenses as I needed all the light in the camera I could
get. I have always wanted to take the steaming pack shot until this
season I have never had the chance - Munster was my first opportunity
and yesterday my second. Great fun!!
I think Phil Dowson is the best number 8 in the country and one of the
nicest chaps you could ever meet. Unusually, I was asked to take photos
of the mascots. It's a big moment for the children concerned and it's
normally over in seconds - Phil took the time to wish the children well
for the match. Seconds later he was clattering into Tigs giving his all.
Top man

.
I think we out thought and fought Tigs yesterday - the pack was immense
and the back line disciplined in the appalling conditions. The bravery
award has to go to Dickson - he put his body at risk on so many
occasions.
Anyway here are my favourites, shot at f2.8 and ISO6400:

Next week it's the battle of the Stades for me and DrT - see you for the
semi-final
