MoTM: HC Castres Home - Tom Wood

By Saint Tim
January 29 2014

So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, adieu, adieu, adieu to the Heineken Cup.  Parting is such sweet sorrow.  The miracle we prayed for didn't happen and despite a win Saints bowed out of the final European Cup paying for the loss away at Castres and the thumping at home by Leinster.  I have enjoyed some fabulous times over the year from my very first away trip to Grenoble in 1999 on the way to the victory that season.  This wasn't a great performance.  Castres came to play and could have won, right up to the very last play.  Now we have the Amlin Cup to look forward to.

Who was your MoTM as Saints won in tricky conditions at home to Castres?

Find it hard to believe this is Tom's first this season. But I suppose thirteen different choices at this stage in the season is a reflection of the strong team ethic and strength in depth in the squad; which is something to be very grateful for.
