News: Armistice Day - Edgar Mobbs

By ComeOnYouSaints.com
November 10 2016

On this day of Remembrance, it feels apt to link to Mr Chris Gleadell's article about Edgar Mobbs...

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them"

We will remember them.

Don't forget to be in your places in good time for Saints annual moving wreath laying and silent tribute. Wear your poppy, or not, but be there and maybe don't forget the odd hanky.

And let us not forget the likes of L/Cpl James Ashworth VC, a young man from Corby, killed in action in June 2012 in Helmand Province, Afghanistan aged 23,leading his platoon of Grenadier Guards against an insurgent machine gun post.

Bravest of the brave.

I was taken by the sole trumpeter playing the last post at Newcastle last Sunday, would be a good lead up to Uncle Geoff.
