Reading between the lines to see who's staying with Sale Sharks is a difficult task, especially when no clear announcements have been made. But judging from the squad page on the Sale Sharks site [www.salesharks.com] we get a good idea of those who are staying and those who have been promoted from the academy.
Despite being old enough to have been born in the former USSR, Max was on trial last season and part of the academy, hopefully he is just as good for us as his brother Vadim in the front row.
Another prop and likely to get further opportunities to play in the challenge cup as he did in 2013/2014 and possibly in the kings of the north competition.
Capable of playing 10/12/13 Sam will be hopeful of taking part in cup games, Especially if Cipriani gets more England opportunities.
After the exit of Cliff and Fowles and only Peter stringer inbound, this England u20 is currently on duty at the world championships and will likely be involved come the kings of the north competition.
With Hines retiring and Michael Paterson gone to saints and only Bryn Evans incoming, he will be hopeful of some game time next season in the second row at least in cup games.
The least surprising Academy promotion. He has come on in leaps and bounds in the latter half of the season and currently on duty for England u20s at world championships.
In part two I'll be writing about those who seem to be staying on.
