I think if we get 10 more points then last season we'll definitely be top 6, 15 more points better and we'll be top 4. 15 points less and it's squeaky bum time. So, a comparison is a good way to judge how we're going....

Bath H 5 (+1)
Quins A 1 (level)
Sale H 4 (+2)

And Worcester still seem to surprise a few, god I hate them. Any One of five sides could go go down this year and that includes our Bears.
😔

Looking back at the premiership table for the last few years, normally the relegated team seems to get just under 30 points. Last season was a bit of an exception. 10 points in the bag from the first 3 games seems like a great start.

I can't see us being lower than top 7 but can we get top 6?

Who are the other 4 then?

Personally I think we'll be fine. Irish, Wuss, Leicester and Wasps are the 4 in trouble. Plus maybe Sarries if the rumours of a 35 point deduction are true..

Last season we only needed 6 points more to get in the Top 4, so we're halfway there!
There's no doubt to me that our players feel like they belong at this level this year while last year there was still a lot of doubt. I really can't see us anywhere near a relegation battle although we need to score points early.

In our next 4 games, we have 2 easier home games in Irish and Wasps that, weather permitting, we need to be getting 10 points from which we're capable of. Irish have been good but they'll add a lot of players in who haven't played together so I expect our cohesion to pull through. Exeter and Sarries away look tough on paper but Ex have looked poor so far and won't have a lot of their stars back. Sarries might be full strength although they have back to back Muster games the 2 weeks before us so may rest some. After that it's Leicester away which should hold no fear for us.

Honestly there are no games that really worry me this season. We won't win them all but we're winning in all conditions and no team will look forward to Ashton Gate.
