Going well so far. We look bang up for it and our ball retention is good. Perhaps we should have more on the board considering our enterprise and domination of possession but this game is ours to lose at present. Randall and Sheedy both looking really sharp, Capon looking like a starter out there as well.

Could Worcester have been any more negative at the breakdown?

So were Bristol - Doyle really lets teams get away with that and it's always a mess.

With some less s*** discipline for us it could have felt a lot closer. Piutau was carrying the game for you guys at times when everyone else was drifting sideways.

We lost count of the no of high tackles and trying to kill the ball at the breakdowns. A yellow card in the first phase of the match might have sorted it out. Conditions were difficult but Worcester came to frustrate.

Peter

C'mon you Bristol Boys!

I am trying to think of anything Worcester did that was creative? Doyle was awful, how did it take 60 mins to get to a yellow card? Persistent killing of the ball leads to a very dull encounter. Its effective but not great viewing.

Worcester are such frustrating team to play against. They bring almost no positive play and rely on frustrating the opposition and killing the ball. At least we got the win against our bogey side

Fair play to Worcester, they really fronted up physically in defence, with our ball carrying forwards often stopped dead in their tracks.

They do seem rely on killing games though. Canít blame them for working within their limitations, I guess, but itís a shame that they canít offer more than that.

Also, weird lack of intensity in the whole game, crowd included. A number of times I had to look at the ref to see if he had awarded a knock on, as only the players nearest the ball seemed to be moving at anything more than half-pace.

Worcester are one team who are able to defend against our "shipping-the-ball-sideways" seemingly all day without tiring. Maybe we need to find a bit more variation when we play them.

Anyway a win is a win. We butchered at least two tries and if we had better support of CP on his numerous line breaks we might have scored a couple more.

Thought Chris Vui was excellent around the park and he made some outstanding kick-off takes.

I think our frustrations should be mostly directed at out inabity to turn territory and possession in to points, we were in the ascendency for the majority of the game but the scoreline doesn't reflect that. Good result in the grand scheme of things and onwards we go.

I agree with the sentiments about Worcester - they didnít come to play, just to frustrate. Which they did well, and were allowed to.
We didnít work our how to get around it (Sheedy didnít use the space behind, which they left wide open) and we reverted to the sideways shovelling faeces. We have to vary our attack more against teams like this.
Exeter play a version of the same game as Worcester - boring, terrible to watch, awful to play against - yet are the benchmark for this league and we have to be able to deal with that if weíre going to be up there at seasonís end.

A win, is a win, but, what a frustrating game. Worcester very good defensive realignment but far too many offsides not penalised which stopped any continuity, ref missed several knock ons and the worcester try included a clearly forward pass that was not even reviewed. Fed up with listening to ref warning players but never really set a breakdown benchmark. Add to this the continued suicide rugby in the wrong areas of the pitch and Frustrating wrong options that give away possession far too cheaply. The running game is exciting to watch but the balance needs to tilt towards care of the possession we have and reduce the error count, this includes every occasion we ship possession to the opposition. Becoming disappointed with Hughes as he drifts in and out of the game as well as in and out of position out wide with no involvement. CP good game with some cracking breaks in the 2nd half and thought Vui had an excellent game. We left points out there, especially in the last 4 minutes with continued pressure. All this Despite the W and being up to 3rd.

So who says no relegation will lead to certain teams playing more adventurously?

With 70 - 30 possession you'd think Bristol would have been able to double our metres made and somehow only made one more offload, damn.

Bristol supporters are such a pleasant bunch.

Thanks.
We absolutely should have done. If you want to take that as a positive, well done. Speaks volumes.
