What a shame for Wales....

….they would have been the number one world team if their first team had avoided defeat against an experimental England team today. England won 33 - 19 and also had a try wiped-off by the TMO near the end, so the scoreline was well deserved.
I thought, having viewed the BBC2 highlights, that Englands' hopefuls played out of their skins to show they were worth a RWC squad place, whereas Wales players were slow out of the blocks due to extended fitness training at the expense of ball skills.
The reverse fixture is next week, and that is after Eddie Jones names his RWC squad tomorrow. Should be a cracker!

I feel sorry for Eddie Jones - said no Englishman ever!

In fairness to Wales (and I do not see much fairness in the "rugby community" these days), they beat us today and have for the first time climbed to the number one spot in the world rankings.
Congratulation to Wales.

The rankings count for nothing. What happens in Japan is all that counts.
