Looks like a stronger squad and team than last week which is unsurprising and welcome. Ealing was our first visit to Headingley since the London Irish game and it was great to see the stadium developments complete. As far as the Ealing game was concerned we were outgunned from the outset, especially upfront, so enough said about that. It wasn’t all doom and gloom however as we clearly have some talented individuals. Good luck to the team next week.

But equally no changes probably means another thrashing is inevitable so it is good to see Ford and Varndell back in action.

I note that the offie has started to let us know about injuries/unavailability of players to help explain the selection: a major step forward in communication and to be welcomed IMHO.

Good luck to the team for tomorrow (Sm46)

Referee tomorrow fresh from his stint in Japan is Premiership whistleman Luke Pearce. One of his assistants is ex Sarries winger Richard Haughton.
