Wonder what CVC think now?

Although they must have known this was coming when they bought into the Prem's marketing company?

Probably a good thing as they'll be able to sell Prem rugby as "clean"?

Wonder if they had any say or influence? Or if they have any now as PRL "consider" the finding of the review/investigation?

For a company that dealt with Bernie Ecclestone, they'll probably think its of no materiality

There was an article on the impact on rugby's commercial value somewhere in the Telegraph. Longer term it felt no value at all.
Shorter term it will just delay things until the dust settles a bit.

The BT deal apparently expires in 2021 (2 seasons time, so expect an announcement roughly this time next year unless it is a renewal) and I think CVC will have been looking at Cricket's £1bn domestic deal over 5 years and fancy their chances of getting close to it. The RWC final got a peak viewing figure of 13m compared to the Cricket World Cup's 4.5m on Channel 4, and 8m overall including Sky. The average for the rugby was 8m and the cricket 4m. Cricket has more opportunities for ads though.

With their purchasing of the 6N rights a package deal could be possible, and could potentially be even bigger.
