A 25% pay cut due to the current situation so they can stay afloat.
According to The Times

I assume that all clubs are doing this together, otherwise it would be very difficult.

I donít know .
It was vague on that.
In Wales and Scotland, the governing bodies have reassured clubs about solvency but nothing from the RFU (thereís a surprise).
Donít know how the Scottish and Welsh bodies can reassure though. Have they the money?

Saracens will have a way to pay players 25% more than anyone else without breaching the cap.

I trust our paid Board members will lead by example and take twice the cut they ask of players, after all a player's career is short.

The majority of our Board do not take a salary as they are non executive. There is probably only one Director on what could be called a substantial salary and even that is less than half what our top earners would receive after a 25% pay cut.

Cuckoos, Gloucester, Salaries and Worcester so far

Presumably Sarries are just about under the cap now?

One director (presumably Cohen) earned £234k.

The total for the three executive directors was £513k. So c.£140k each for the other two. (presumably Walker and Pinchen).

Cohen's wage is exorbitant for a loss making, shrinking business of our size, that is also failing on all KPI's. The two others are substantial wages in anyone's book, though very much more in the wheelhouse of a reasonable figure for the size o the company.

The players literally put their neck on the line 40 weeks a year for our entertainment, I cannot ever query them for their wages, though the wisdom of those that offer them those sums is always up for debate.

Tigers now announce pay cut. No mention of directors cutting their pay or protection for lower paid members of staff.

Although the Government will now cover 80% of wages so maybe a backtrack is on the cards ?

80% of wages for people paid up to £2,500 a month (£30k a year). A few players will be on £30k a month.

Current government published advice on this is very thin but it says workers that have been officially furloughed, so as currently written it would not include any of the people who have had hours cut and and would not include any of the zero-hour game day staff (such as stewards or those employed through others such as catering) or any self-employed contractors (possibly how positions like our doctors and/or physiotherapists operate).

They mention hours being cut which strongly implies hourly paid staff not just salaried staff.

They do not mention the 3 executive directors ...
