Saracens have one eye on the Heineken Cup after shrugging off Worcester to move into the Zurich Wildcard final.

Kev Sorrell scored the only try of a scrappy first half, making the most of a gaping hole in the Worcester defence.

Iain Fullarton squeezed over in the corner midway through the second half to stretch the home side's lead.

And Ben Johnston increased Saracens' lead after a fine break by Ben Skirving before Tommy Hayes grabbed a late interception try for Worcester.

Sarries will play either Gloucester or Newcastle, who clash on Sunday, in the final.

And coach Steve Diamond is looking forward to finishing the season as it began eight months ago - with a win at Twickenham.

"It's amazing. Start at Twickenham and finish there," said Diamond, whose side beat Wasps in their Zurich Premiership opener last September.

"I am happy about the win. We didn't play particularly well in the first half, but once we got the ball second phase we could drive them all over the show at will.

"We managed to have couple of words at half-time about our performance and keeping hold of the ball. Once we did that we scored three tries."

Meanwhile, Worcester coach Andy Keast said it was a "game too far" after a gruelling fight for Premiership survival.

"We weren't really in it today. Saracens deserved the win and we wish them all the best at Twickenham next weekend.

"From day one it was about gaining respect and competing. We did that and a little bit more.

"Not only have we survived but we feel in the manner we have progressed we can only do better next year."

w played Glaws in the final if I remember correctly and the quality between it and the Wasps / Tiggers match that followed it was rather embarrasing

Was that the Worcester game where they went to uncontested scrums before half time? My instant thought was take the props off and put Randell and Ches on in their place, and with 25 minutes left thatís exactly what we did.
