Bath, West Ham (anyone playing Liverpool!) and Hampshire.
Don't recognise the American teams since I've never watched American Football, Baseball, Ice Hockey or Basketball.

I see that Ealing has released Joe Munro, a big (6’5”) lump who plays 12 and 13, aged 28. He was in the Green King team of the year last year and the little that I have seen of him looks a good player. Could do worse than him as a solid squad player over the season would have thought, given our cap constraints and need in those positions?

A player that's been released by Ealing. Have we really fallen that far ?

Agree entirely. Given how small a squad we have, and the number of quality players in all positions, I see no harm at all looking in lower leagues for solid squad players, some gems or those who need a bit of polishing. There are other teams in the league who have done extremely good jobs at this, I see no shame in it at all. Given how many players we have on huge salaries who I believe we need to move on, this is just the right route to take IMO.

Well Guy Mercer would have had a decent look at him. Speaking of which, how cool is this squad pic - looks like someones kid did it.

In the French press there is a rumour Israel Folau is going to Sale for 800,000 Euros
Quote:BathMatt53
Looking like Sale are picking up Olding and Jackson. It seems odd to me that if the two of them are looking to move on that they would join the same club at the same time? I would have thought that they have had enough of being spoken about in the same breath.

Ben Foden anyone? 'Moving on' from Saint's and has a good couple of years in him. No link to new club mentioned by BBC article that appeared this morning.

Tipped by Ashton as the star of this generation. It never really worked out for him. Should have stayed at 9.

Yes I recall that. I think those guys will probably have to look abroad...they seem to be unemployable on these islands.

Spoy on CC and I would say in EU rugby too; my money would be on a SA team or even further South...

FB is one position where we have good cover, can't see the club being interested really.

both Saracens wing Chris Wyles and Northampton Saint’s Ben Foden and are both linked with moves stateside. (i.e. a switch to Major League Rugby (MLR) in America)

Yesterday was a good day on balance
Bath make the big cup, & West Ham survive in the premiership
If only Hampshire had stuck to the script.....

Good day for me FL Bath, West Ham and Surrey, difference is I'd love Liverpool to win the Champions League!

OMG please don't remind me....Gerrard's equaliser with West Ham's players either exhausted or injured and no subs left, if it had gone past 5 pens Hammers wouldn't have had fit players to take them.

Yes - just wondering if there’s a bit more flesh on the bones.

That statement says staff, so not one coach but 2 or 2+?

I still think it’s useful to have the options of Roberts and Wilson at 12. I have really been impressed with Wilson since he joined and hope Bath can retain him. But I also think there are those winter months, where you just need a bit of trucking up the middle, rather than distribution, which is great on dry game days.

Oh nice wild speculation, hasta. I wouldn't mind ROG. He's certainly learning his trade in the right way.
I'll have a go too... Shaun Berne.

Didn't think that it was worth a thread of its own, but I see that Adam Hastings has been called up for the Scottish summer tour of US and Argentina with Finn Russell out. Should be interesting, well done to the lad.

Also wasn't Dwayne Peel mentioned as the rumoured new attack coach, based on some inside knowledge that they are coming from an Irish club.

SW mentioned the rumour that it was someone from over the Irish sea. I totally speculated, based on no insider knowledge whatsoever, that Dwain Peel would fit that bill. No rumour, just total speculation as he knows the area (from his Bris days), is an attack coach, works for a province with some management issues - nothing more than my imagination I'm afraid.

"Getting those distribution skills into to the 12 channel is something we've been working all season"
Great, so why sign Roberts?
