Crashball 12 is surely a more reliable strategy but lets not forget that Roberts is a very competent defender.

Hmm cryptic post couple of hours ago from James Wilson on ig thanking Bath rugby for a run around this season.
Hope I'm reading too much into it.

Reading that I'd say he's gone for sure, he rarely posts on Instagram..

Based on what I have seen of Cockanasiga this year, including at the weekend, he needs some time to improve his skill set beyond being a big and fast lump. As mentioned above he was shown up a couple of times in defence and going forward only showed his crash bang talents and I thought that he was outplayed by Brew. Is a year long enough for us to really see the best of him?

Cokanasiga to be announced this week, according to the mail (found the link on twitter - [www.dailymail.co.uk])
Loan deal was rejected - 3 year contract worth £700k apparently.

Awkward.

That old addage from Bill Shankley or Bob Paisley, or whichever legendary Liverpool manager it was comes to mind with players in Banna’s situation ...
“When your star player’s legs go, make sure they go on another manager’s pitch” (or something like that)
Harsh, and I’d love for him to have stayed on, but this is the new reality of our sport, as players across all clubs seem to be finding out.

Swap "Cockanasiga" with "Banahan", and you have pretty much the assessment of the latter twelve years ago!

The age profile of our backline is shocking. Our academy currently has not produced enough players of quality for us to promote to the 1st team squad, so if we have to go outside to club to find top young talent that will provide us continuity in the long term then I am all for it.
There will be a changing of the guard over then few years, Banners being the first.
Joe C has top potential; we are paying for the future not the current. Give him time, like we did with Banners when he first arrived, and who knows he may become just as good, maybe even better.

Why have an academy at all when we can keep cherry picking the L.I. tree....?

Latest update on the additional coach is next week.
Noises are still very positive.

Any link with the Quins job by any chance? They seem to think Gustard is their main man possibly Edwards but with Ryan also in the frame as attack coach

I thought that Rawce when he was announced with England.
Anyone got any other rumours of who it might be?
It's such a vital appointment but I can't for the life of me work out who's in the frame!

Its BOB. I heard it from a current member of the Bath 2nd row.

On LI board they are reporting (from the Egg Chasers podcast) that Guy Mercer is off to them?
(first Mike Catt and now Mercer - will they stop stealing our players?)

I suppose 7th is a bit better than their usual position of 8th or 9th.
I wonder why Bath never seem in the market for big ugly Georgian or Saffer tight five forwards.

How about snapping up Paddy Jackson $ Stuart Olding both released by Ulster and both fantastic players - I bet there that most DoR's will be asking the question. Why mot us!!
