Fixture list released today. I assume that it will only include a few actual dates for the first tranche and the rest will be assigned weekends?

Will we find out today if there is to be another Clash - I think we have had the 3 that Bath initially signed up to (2 x Tigers, one Bris)...

I'd expect that to be a yes for 'The Clash' been a success hasn't it?

Briz again for the Clash for me or London Irish, their fans are always great. Just not Sarries, Chiefs, Wuss, Saints or Glaws for various reasons please

Was told they were trying for Wasps for the clash a couple of months ago. Now let’s see how good this info was or have they made me look a **** !

Wasps would work. Good, noisy set of fans likely to truck down [or across!] to Twickenham. Like to play fast and loose in wide open spaces

And, if both full strength then head to head we should come out on top

I think that to give home advantage away against any of our ‘rivals’ in the league would be unwise. Irish would be my choice.

Matt, its a 'Clash', its supposed to be about local or historical rivalry isn't it? Not a friendly against our feeder club! confused smiley

I would say Irish will be one of our 'rivals' in the league.

The Clash adds no value for me so I don't go, but accept it achieves the objective of making money and is here to stay.

My choice would be Bristol, Glos or Exeter.

We open away at Brizzle on a Friday night, 18/10 @ 19.45hr;

Bristol Bears Director of Rugby Pat Lam said: “We couldn’t have asked for a better start than Bath Rugby. When we launched Gallagher Premiership Rugby last year – it was a huge, full house at Ashton Gate with both sets of supporters, the weather was good, we played good rugby and obviously got the win – it was a magical night.

“To be asked to do it again – you’ve got supporters from both sets who were there, there are people who missed out and heard about it, so there’s no doubt they’ll want to be there. There’s a good rivalry, all we’ve got to do is play our part in it and make sure we’re at our best.”

In terms of the Clash, it looks like it could be Worcester if it is on the same weekend (R19, however this is the revised bank holiday weekend), or Gloucs if it is a bit later to coincide with R21 (29/ 30th May)? Assuming that they do it of course.

Lets hope the team talk starts with, "if you cross the try line put the ball down."

Wuss would be a poor turnout, can't see that happening.

Surely it will be L Irish which just so happens to 'clash' with St Patricks day - that gets my vote!

Usually the Clash is in April, our only home game in April is Wasps. Noticed our last home game is end of May, the meccano stands are usually dismantled then so maybe that will be the Clash!

They wanted Wasps the weekend of 11th/12th April which is the Bank Holiday weekend. Can only assume that it is going to be on the 18th April.

Shame the Brizzle opener is on a Friday night again. Really enjoyed the Sunday afternoon trip there a few years back.

Good Chrimbo options though, home game on the 28th and commutable home games at Irish on the 21st and Glaws on Jan 4th.

Feels like most likely decision, shame the Guinness flowing at Twickers would have been a great party

Seeing as both fixtures resulted in defeat and therefore the result won’t cloud my judgment I’d say I preferred the September Friday night game. Much better atmosphere. Few pints with my mates and a few pints afterwards.

I think we've got three Friday night kick offs in the first 8 rounds. Nothing confirmed beyond that ( but perhaps I'm reading it wrong- hope not, 3's plenty!).

Tough start considering we will be without the World Cup players..... really don’t fancy going into Bristol without them and listening to those lot again so think I will probably give that a miss.

Liking having the Friday night games against Exeter and Sarries, at least the atmosphere should be good, and hopefully being Friday less away fans will be there.

And the biggest bonus is that hotel for the clash was free cancellation, so just cancelled and re booked for following week at no extra cost!!

A tough start, fingers (and toes) crossed we get something out of those games or could be a long season!

Amazing that we start away at Bristol AGAIN. It will offer an interesting comparison with last year as regards preparation, fitness & our mental state! However, I won’t be going as the traffic was terrible & my parking spot really difficult to find amongst all those narrow double parked streets.

What a surprise, both Bath v Bris games during the world cup and Six Nations. Prem Rugby really love to even the playing field, happens like clockwork.

We hardly have any away compared with others like Sarries and we all knew that the w/c and internationals happen so don’t think that it’s worth moaning about tbh.
