Pleased to see fixtures have popped up on my google calendar feed and good to see that they cover the whole season [with the inevitable caveat about TV schedules]. I see no mention of the European stuff; anybody know when we'll be seeing this?

Could be wrong, but apart from saying August, I don't think a specific date has been publicised...(Tried looking on various sites without success).

Lyon is about the closest big airport. Two hours on the TGV from there. You can fly or get the TGV from Paris too but that is about 3 and a half hours on the train I think. I’ve been looking from the Midlands though so might be some other options from Bristol/Cardiff. Clermont-Ferrand airport has a pretty limited service though.

Similar feedback. Not easy to get to. No apparent direct flights- most require you to change at Paris. One glimmer of hope- might be a few more flights in ski season (all fixtures October to January) but think I'm clutching at straws!

Any idea when the European fixtures are confirmed?

Normally at least know the date they are going to be announced by now.

No, that's not true, deal or no deal no visas are necessary in France for a year after exit, Spain 21 months, Germany 9 months.

Cheers! Would've been a bit harsh, although to be honest getting a visa probably less of a headache than waiting for TV to let you know the actual day and time of the fixture. I know TV brings in the cash, but I don't think it's much to expect them to commit earlier than they do, and the last group fixtures always the worst as they wait to see which are the critical fixtures- a pain when sorting out flights and accommodation.

I suppose they want the 'dead rubbers' as the curtain-raisers. The prime matches Sat and Sun 3.00 kick-offs, those making up the numbers scheduled around it and the graveyard shift is Sunday evening! The Eurodisney Cup used to have Thursday kick-offs but I vaguely recall that no longer happens???

I still haven't worked out whether the Internationals are all supposed to be having a mandatory rest after the WC. Does anyone know when they are due to be back on the field in Bath colours? I seem to remember seeing (some time ago) that they would get their rest in the summer of 2020 instead...

With Quins not losing Care, Dombrandt, Robshaw etc. Quins will be a tough fixture if those selected are having R&R. Guess it depends how optimistic we are about England progressing...

2 out of 3 home Euro games on Friday nights. Makes my blood boil because like a lot of people with jobs away Monday to Friday I can't go. Presumably we were due a Sunday game which the club have said no to again for some reason or other. So so annoyed.

Friday nights for Euro games seem an obvious issue for the opposition supporters tbh but I guess Bath looks nice on a Friday night on the box. I would be amazed if it was Baths choice.

As above I would imagine Bath did not have much of a say in when these were scheduled for. The TV companies will see Bath on a Friday night looking pretty, especially the Clermont game being that close to Christmas.
The ground will be a sell out and the atmosphere is normally so much better than on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
I know loads who are planning on going for a chance to watch one of the top European teams live, which they wouldn’t get as they will be playing on the Saturday.
I know that a lot of the players prefer Friday nights as like me it gives you the rest of the weekend off to do other things.
What annoys me is the Sunday fixture in Clermont..... Three nights of drinking prior to the game will be hard going!!!!

Hi CC, not sure what's going on, but, when I initially followed your/BR link to get the fixtures onto my Outlook Calendar, I got an initial entry for 14:00 23rd August, saying that my calendar would be updated automatically. Over the last couple of days, I've had an Outlook error saying that the link to "http://www.stanza.co/api/schedules/bathrugby/bathrugby.ics" was not a valid one.
I raised a query with Microsoft on the error code '0xC4172EE7', and they confirmed the stanza link wasn't working.
I tried following that link, and it comes up with "Cannot reach that page".
I tried re-establishing the link to re-set up the Outlook calendar, via the one you gave from the Bath website and, miraculously, all the fixtures have appeared!
Panic over!

No idea Mike. All I know is that the initial fixtures up dated automatically from BR and the new European fixtures came in automatically as well. I have a new Apple iPhone but they even updated on the old iPhone 5. Maybe it was an Android issue but glad all sorted now.

i really don't think 'Bath looking pretty' in the panning shots at the beginning of each half has anything to do with getting too much Friday night rugby. Bath vetoing Sunday afternoon games for some reason is far more likely. I can only assume that one or more of their nimby neighbours doesn't want us to upset their Sunday roast.

Anyway I'll resell my ST for those games and some boozed up student can go in my place ... that should add to the Friday night 'atmosphere'.

Stag-do or corporate pi55 up attendee more likely than students I reckon BG...

Was definitely surprised how many Fridays vs Saturdays there are in 2019 though - wondered if some were World Cup related as England play on 12th Oct then QF and SF on the Saturdays when Bath have 3 fridays in a row.
