With Max C injured with what seems to be a long term problem would we have the chance to bring in another centre as a medical joker? Not sure what the rules are. Might be the chance to get a player post WC who would work well with JJ . Just a thought !

If we are allowed a 'joker' perhaps Flow could bring back one of the Boks !!

I did that after conceding the 124th scrum penalty this morning. Gave the cappuccino a miss though.

Total silence since the Exe win - must have been seething about that - but back on line after a loss. Outstanding work.

Noted on a previous thread how I formed pictures of individual posters and that the army was wasting its time advertising on this site given the 'vintage' of most of us, and the fact that we can all quote Blackadder verbatim confirms my thoughts! Used to be part of the day to day language at school. I knew it was time to get out of teaching when I could no longer use 'Goodbyeee' as an introduction to WW1 as the kids didn't realise it was comedy!

We couldn't quote Blackadder in recent times as the younger visitors would have confused it with our coaches name.

Open season now.

It meant nothing, because it was obvious to all who've supported Bath this past decade that we would lose to a terrible team like Wasps a week later. Were you at the Ricoh?

I don't need to explain myself but I avoided the rugby internet in general this past week because of the World Cup Final, didn't want to get caught up in the build up. I was nervous enough as it was.

Yes, ‘busy’ the last time they won, ‘nervous’ this time they won. Just sounds like a coincidence then, apologies.

With Clark, Catt and Thomas (ruptured ACL after 5 mins off the bench at Wasps) looking like they may all be out for the season - I’d have thought we’d be seriously looking for injury cover - particularly at prop?

yes indeed. with our two first choice props out for the season we will need cover. only a matter of time before obano or stuart cop an injury.

Is Thomas confirmed as ACL? He has had really bad ACL injuries before - that wouldn’t be good at all...

So, now confirmed Catt, Henry T, Joe and possibly Zach all with LT injuries. What medical jokers might be available do we think? Mafi filled in for us a couple of years ago? A top THP would be good too?

Really don't like the term 'medical joker'

Those injuries are no joke at all

I’ll put simply for you to understand. Posters are suggesting we get another prop in. I would argue we have enough props to cover for Catt and Henry.

Now, more importantly, what is the point of you? I’m struggling to think of anything.

Well after today, we are going to have to use as many jokers as we possibly can to put any sort of experienced side on the pitch. You never know we might be able to pick up a couple of really hungry, skillful players who know how to win games. That would be a novelty.

I think at loosehead we are fine for now. Bit worried it heaps pressure on stuart and judge at tighthead. Is nixon ready? I have seen him go well and seen him really struggle.

Think we are ok for now even if zach and joe out long term....backrow and back three arguably our biggest areas of strength.

Nixon should be playing in this Cup that people call "Pointless" when in reality it's anything but. It's exactly for players like him to keep their match fitness up. Unfortunately all four rounds were done and dusted early and he hardly played because they wanted to give the new tightheads a go. He'll get thrown in in a United game after weeks without playing and told to have a go.

Now we are effectively out of europe realistically could be a good platform to give nixon a game or two.....quins at home for example.

I would be giving him some opps off the bench in the meantime. With thomas out he will be needed this season and better to do that on our own terms.

The Sharks boss also revealed the club are in talks with Fiji international lock Leone Nakarawa, who was suspended by French club Racing 92 after making a delayed return from the World Cup in Japan.

Nakarawa is seen by Diamond as a possible short-term replacement for Josh Beaumont, who is sidelined for up to five months after undergoing knee surgery.

“We are looking for a high-quality lock,” Diamond said. “He’s apparently gone missing but we’ve tracked him down and we’re in negotiations at the moment.”

If Charlie E is out for a bit, give him a call Hoops before Steve D gets him!
