With the latest storm forecast to hit us saturday afternoon wouldn't it be a good idea to postpone the match. Both sides are free during the euro cup rounds so there are plenty of free dates.
Just a thought.

I think Worcs would be keen to play us during the 6N window.

Playing in terrible conditions is probably better for us than a dry day anyway.

All good fun, shame it is artificial pitch otherwise a bit like the good old days of playing in a mudbath.

Glad I’ll be undercover and not in the open of the Rec.

That will be fine by us Worcester). We will take the 28-0 victory that PRL would give us as it is the only way we will win based on current performances . Just have your back 3 ready to take the mindless kicks we will send your way and run it straigh5 back at us , this has worked for most of the opposition this year.

If it does go ahead, and the weather does look very dodgy, hopefully see some of you up here.

Dragons home game called off "in the interests of supporter and staff safety" because of "the extreme weather conditions forecast".

I really get that, its much like the Rec next to the river, wind whips through there, used to have a grass pitch that was a true mud bath! Actually worse than the Rec, if possible.

Calling off a game because off a bit of wind and rain, what would Colin Meads have made of that?

Guess they'll decide tomorrow but there was lots of criticism of the WSL last Sunday for leaving it too late to postpone fixtures and you had teams and supporters having to turn round and make long, unnerving and ultimately futile journeys back home. Whether Dennis proves as strong as Ciara remains to be seen, although the name means it's hard to see it being too destructive!

Yesterday the bbc were forecasting 50mph winds for Saturday and all of Sunday for Worcester, now it is 40mph for Saturday and 20mph for Sunday. It will either be 80mph or nothing by the time they have finished

[warriors.co.uk]

Warriors’ Gallagher Premiership match against Bath Rugby at Sixways on Saturday will go ahead as scheduled with a 3.00pm kick-off.

However, with a weather forecast of strong winds and heavy rain with the arrival of Storm Dennis, we will continue to monitor and review conditions.

The safety of spectators, players, officials and staff is of paramount importance and we will do everything possible to ensure that this is not compromised.

Should the situation change we will advise supporters on this website and via our social media channels.

The Warriors Under-13 Festival, which was scheduled to take place on the Cummins Farm pitches at Sixways on Saturday morning has been cancelled due to the forecast heavy rain and strong winds.

Currently predicting 50mph winds and 99% chance of heavy rain.

Think I would prefer Sixways to what I am doing. Overnight flight from Hong Kong arriving at 5am tomorrow, apparently in 50 mph winds at Heathrow.
Just had one of the bumpiest flights I have experienced from New Zealand to Hong Kong. Oh the joys of traveling

3 hours before KO; and I live 15 miles from the ground

BBC Forecast for 12.00 - 48mph winds, and pissing it down
Looking out of the window at 12.00 - wind starting to shake small / weeping branches, and a slight drizzle

warriors should have cancelled this game. they had plenty of warning from the met people. the club's latest update saying the game will go ahead but warning people to take care is just nonsense. they are in no position to assure that fans commuting to and from the game will be safe or even that they will be safe at the ground. as it is this game will be murrayfield pt 2, a total lottery and a worse than useless spectacle.

BBC Forecast for 12.00 - 48mph winds, and @#$%& it down
Looking out of the window at 12.00 - wind starting to shake small / weeping branches, and a slight drizzle
Looking out of the window at 1.00 - wind no worse than an hour ago, though there has been the odd gust (nothing that's actually been audible from indoors); rain has happened, but nothing current.

Personally, I don't see the point in cancelling rugby due to wind/rain unless there are dangerous levels of standing water on the pitch; or the police issue a "do not travel" warning.
Met Office weather warnings are yellow - so not TOO bad; and the police are simply issuing "be careful on the roads" tweets - absolutely no reason to cancel / postpone the match at this moment in time.
ETA: Met Office amber warnings have now been issued - for rain, not wind, and not for Worcestershire

Unless I've missed a WR update, rugby IS still an outdoors winter sport yeah?

Weather radar showing so holes in the storm so continuous ran might not happen, still a day for tormenting the full back with high kicks though. Right up Rhys Priestland's street!
