As much as I like Christian and think he is a good player, the one comment I would make is that at 27 the time has come to pick and stick.
It sounds a little like he is still hedging his bets to see what comes. If I was going to sign him as a rugby club I would want to know rugby is where he wanted to be, becuase it sounds like his head could still be turned by NFL.

He could be a useful player to bring in when crowds can return in numbers, as he will be news worthy & would attract look-warm supporters. But very much agree with the above
As I have said a few occassions I hope that at the very least we have retained his registartion. I would have him back but not at any price.
No interest in him what so ever. Upped sticks and left us mid season after we had nursed him back from a number of injuries during his time with us.

I have a different attitude to the injuries thing to other people.
Clubs ask these guys to put themselves in harms way for the sport - therefore the moral obligation lies with the club to nurse them back, not for the player to be grateful for it like it was a special favour.

Yep I agree with TVM. What is the alternative? Clubs cancel contracts when players have a bad injury? Nah.
I would sign him up as I think be may come with his own additional commercial value now.

As I said the club "rightfully helped him overcome " his injuries and stood by the player.

Well, quite. But the club could have enforced the contract but for whatever reason chose not to. You do clearly feel a degree of betrayal to the club by CSW - and that is fine. We were just saying that we don't see the helped back from injuries thing as any particular article of bad faith, for the reasons explained.
I’d love him back. There’s a sense of unfinished business with him. We didn’t get to see what he really could do when he was with us. I thought he made a big mistake personally because I thought he could be playing for England by now if he had stayed. Imagine him and Itoje playing together? Sickening!!

Yea definitely. He will be in top shape too and will have an improved skill set from the NFL.
He could make it, but he would not be oven ready. NFL is explosive and that aspect would be useful. But endurance wise he will be way off the pace.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying he is wrong to, per se, it's his life.
But I would let that impact on my decision as a D.O.R for example....
