Not bad- players player and most metres made in super 15 however all from full back.

That begs a tricky question - if one of the worst performing sides in the premiership signs the top carrier in super 15 do they play him out of position?

He has played on the wing a lot for the Blues, but heís absolutely immense at 15 with a broken field ahead of him. His step is unbelievable and rarely kicks.

Next season will have a lot of questions marks over who will be our back 3. I can still see it being Pens at fullback with Fidow and Nanai on the wings, but it wouldnít surprise me in the slightest if Nanai is our first choice 15 next season. The guy is an amazing talent and we are lucky we got him at the time we did, because the last few weeks heís been nothing short of amazing.

What happens if he is called into the New Zealand squad? They don't select overseas players, do they? Would that nullify his contract with us?

Two thoughts...

1) itís Melani Nanai, not Malani Nani. Might seem picky, but we might as well get his name right.

2) International qualification. Heís Samoan, and has played for their U20ís. If this is their official second string then heís tied. I donít know if this is the case, but maybe someone else will let us know. Even if he isnít tied, Do we have any reason to suspect heís on the ABís radar?

Either way, doesnít he look good!

He's a reserve for the All Blacks hence will be staying in the country a bit longer.

Only used if they have some injuries in the backs.

He has already been told he is 1st reserve for AB selection and has specifically held back for the Mitre Cup to keep him sharp.

The club have already announced he will not be available for the first part of the season

He"ll be tied to the All Blacks but will still be joining us after the World Cup.

Whatever you do, do it safely!
