Saturday the 6th of June. That's well into the cricket season!

(And I won't make the obvious link with the same date in 1944.)

Tigers up first whilst RWC QFs are going on is a good fixture. We likely won't be missing anyone (don't expect USA or Samoa to make QFs) whilst Tigers could be missing up to 9 players (TPN, Cole, Genge, Lavanini, B.Youngs, Ford, Tuilagi, May, Holmes).

And no LDH.

And Briz get the “honour of opening the season for the second year in succession” (quote BBC) with the Rd 1 Friday evening v Bath.

And, if feeling deprived of rugby WRFC kick off away to Droitwich 7th Sept with first home game at Westons on the 17th, proper food and drink at proper money.

Like the fixture list - it doesn't look so contrived (against us) as in some previous seasons, but Irish have us and Bristol at home in the last 3 rounds - hope they are out of it by then. Think we might need one of those best starts to the season since 2005/6 though, for us not to be the bottom feeders all season.

Well, if the 13 team layout as found by PE on the “anyone spotted” thread is to be trusted, and why not, it won’t matter will it?

At least we've got a home game during the Christmas week. The one just before is at Kingsholm so not far to go. Mind you, I've never found any trains running between Worcester and Gloucester when a game is on.

Really? Get the train there most seasons from Foregate Street to Gloucester.

Agreed, and the last train home is usually very jolly. Mind you, we were close to being refused boarding one year since Mac had fallen in the road and was dripping blood from several places. We convinced staff he hadn’t been fighting, wasn’t too drunk, and was just old and doddery.

It wasn’t far from the truth.

I don't go to Gloucester every year, it just so happens that on the occasions I have done there were no trains coming home.

The Supporters' Club/Club usually run at least one fun bus to Glaws.
