New Zealand bars and clubs have been given the green light to open outside normal licensing hours for Rugby World Cup games.

On Monday, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern confirmed Cabinet agreed to introduce the extended trading hours amendment bill, which would be put before Parliament this week
