It seems Solly wants to get his launch timed, maybe should have been more careful with Nanai’s launch because he is struggling to come to terms with Premiership Rugby.

BOSS Alan Solomons is weighing up when to give wing Ed Fidow his Worcester Warriors debut – but he insisted: “We have got to get the timing right.”

Fidow arrived back at Sixways from the Rugby World Cup in Japan two weeks ago but was not in the mix for last Saturday’s trip to Northampton Saints.

Solomons said the Samoa star who joined Warriors from Provence this summer, was “under consideration for Sunday’s home clash with Exeter Chiefs (3pm).

But Solomons admitted there was also a chance Fidow could instead be lined up for the following weekend’s Gallagher Premiership match at Harlequins as the 26-year-old continues to “get to grips” with the team in training.

“He is under consideration,” said Solomons when asked whether Fidow was in the reckoning to face Exeter.

“We have just got to get the timing right for Ed, so if it’s not this week then we will look at next week.

At the end of the article it talks about the quality of choice in our backrow, well maybe this highlights the team’s problem.

We have a fairly equal squad so there is definitely choice but we do not have choice of players who can win us games in the Premiership. They are all similar and not quite good enough to compete against the rest of the Premiership.

As with all thnigs JP it is a question of blend. Two new wingers may be one ( or even two ) too many. It comes down to their quality and the state of the team.
My real concern is the fornt row where from the strat we looked underpowered.

I agree on blend Rollo

My main concern was not with the wingers but the whole squad being of the same ability in their respective positions making selection interesting but actual match day capability no different whoever is selected.

Good question w4rriorz, he must be asking himself what he has to do. Surely he deserves to play?
